Job summary

Taylor Public Library is seeking a Librarian to deliver professional library services, support reference and reader's advisory, manage collections, and lead programming. The role emphasizes literacy, lifelong learning, and community engagement in a welcoming environment.

You will collaborate with staff, coordinate outreach, guide patrons in digital resources, and help with cataloging, IT assistance, and daily operations to ensure excellent service.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Library and Information Science from an ALA-accredited program.
• Two years of professional library experience; municipal library setting preferred.
• Experience with reference services, collection development, and programming.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional reference and information services to patrons of all ages.
• Assist with collection development, cataloging, and maintenance of library materials.
• Plan and conduct educational, cultural, and recreational programs.
• Provide technology assistance and training to patrons and staff.
• Support daily operations and reporting; assist with opening/closing procedures.
