Job summary

Pueblo City-County Library District is hiring a Librarian/Assistant Branch Manager in Pueblo, CO. The role supports daily branch operations, supervises staff, and strengthens community partnerships to deliver library programs for all ages.

The position requires a Master’s in Library Science with library experience preferred, and involves customer service, outreach, and program leadership with opportunities to lead at a busy neighborhood branch.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Library Science required; one year library experience preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to lead, supervise, and coordinate branch operations.
• Experience with planning programs and presenting to diverse audiences.
• Comfort with researching information and guiding patrons using databases.

Responsibilities

• Promotes customer service and helps patrons locate materials and resources.
• Run youth and adult programs and outreach to schools and community groups.
• Partner with organizations to meet community needs and coordinate services.
• Assist Branch Manager with daily operations and staffing coverage.
• Serve as PIC in manager’s absence and manage cash handling and schedules.
