Job summary

Sylvania in Lebanon, IN seeks an LHS Assistant Track and Field Coach with a college degree and high school coaching experience. The role requires strong leadership, organizational and communication skills, and the ability to work with students, staff, and the community.

Ideal candidates will know strength and conditioning methods and have proficiency with Hudl, Max Preps, Final Forms and Event Link. NFHS/IHSAA rules knowledge and a positive, motivating presence are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience coaching at the High School Level with Varsity High School coaching experience preferred.
• Highly effective leadership, organizational, and communication skills required.
• Ability to work well with students, staff members and community.
• Experience and knowledge of strength and conditioning programs.

Responsibilities

• Able to build personal and professional relationships with administration, teachers, coaches, players and parents.
• Prepares, plans, responsible and well organized.
• Dedicated and concerned about equipment, safety, sharing of athletes, academic progress and participation numbers.
• Encourages player development at the high school, middle school and youth league level.
• Provides proper instruction, teaching skills and strategies.
• Understands financial and budgeting process.
• Has technology skills and/or willing to learn to navigate Hudl, Max Preps, Final forms and Event Link software programs.
• Is knowledgeable and has an understanding of coaching and practicing rules and policies governed by the NFHS and IHSAA.
• Positive role model and motivator.
