Job summary

Hampshire Middle School is seeking an Assistant Track Coach to contribute to student-athlete achievement with a strong knowledge of track and field. The role requires coaching across levels, coordinating with the head coach and athletic staff, and effective communication with parents and the Booster Club.

Ideal candidates will be organized, flexible, and able to implement program directives while ensuring compliance with all school and IHSA requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience coaching at all levels within the program.
• Able to coach various areas within the program.
• Organized and flexible; able to take direction from head coach.
• Able to work with parents and Booster Club.

Responsibilities

• Enhance and maximize students' athletic skills to compete at a high level.
• Organize and oversee specific program levels or areas of responsibility.
• Communicate with Head Coach and Athletic Director to secure facilities for safe practices.
• Support the program's fundamentals and conditioning as instructed by the head coach.
• Coordinate in-season practices with the head coach and Athletic Director.
• Ensure student participants are eligible and compliant with D300/IHSA rules.
