Job summary

Medical City Dallas is seeking a Registered Nurse for our Level IV NICU to cover a full-time night shift (7P-7A). You will perform comprehensive nursing assessments, plan and evaluate care, and mentor junior staff in a high-volume NICU with 108 beds. Texas RN license or compact license is required, with 1 year NICU experience.

Qualifications

• ADN/BSN required; Magnet Hospital preferred.
• Texas State RN license or compact license accepted.
• 1 year recent Level III/IV NICU RN experience in acute care hospital.
• STABLE within 18 months of start date.
• Neonate Resuscitation within 6 months of start date.
• BLS required within 30 days of start date.
• PALS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and provide direct patient care in a Level IV NICU.
• Plan, implement and evaluate patient care plans to optimize outcomes.
• Supervise non-licensed nursing staff within RN scope and policies.
• Incorporate teaching into nursing practice.
