Job summary

Medical City Dallas is seeking a Registered Nurse for a Level IV NICU to provide expert critical care to neonates on the night shift (7P-7A). The role requires current Texas RN licensure and 1+ year of NICU experience in an acute hospital setting.

Qualifications include ADN/BSN, STABLE and Neonate Resuscitation, BCLS, and PALS. The facility offers comprehensive benefits, tuition assistance, and extensive professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

• ADN / BSN is required w/12 month enrollment and 24 month completion (Magnet Hospital)
• Texas State RN license or compact license is accepted
• Must have one (1) year recent Level III or IV NICU RN experience in an acute care hospital
• STABLE must be obtained within 18 months of employment start date
• Neonate Resuscitate must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
• Basic Cardiac Life Support, or BCLS Instructor must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and provide direct patient care
• Plan, implement and evaluate patient care plans to optimize outcomes and maximize available resources
• Supervise non-licensed nursing staff within the RN scope of practice and in accordance with established policies
• Incorporate teaching into all aspects of nursing practice
