Job summary
Holy Cross Health in Silver Spring, MD seeks a Clinical Nurse – NICU to join the Level III NICU team, delivering expert care to critically ill and premature infants on a rotating schedule.
You will attend high-risk deliveries, administer medications, and chart in Cerner (transitioning to EPIC). Requires MD RN license and BLS; NICU experience preferred. Retention bonus and first-day benefits support professional growth.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Associate degree required; BSN/MSN preferred).
- Current RN license with the Maryland Board of Nursing or a Compact State.
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association (additional life support certifications per unit requirements).
- NICU experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide specialized nursing care for critically ill and premature infants.
- Collaborate with Neonatologists, Pediatricians, Respiratory Therapists, and Social Workers.
- Attend high-risk deliveries (e.g., multiple gestation, meconium, congenital anomalies).
- Administer medications, manage IV lines, and operate ventilators/CPAP.
- Educate families on infant care and support discharge readiness.
- Chart using Cerner EMR (transitioning to EPIC).
