Job summary

Holy Cross Health in Silver Spring, MD is seeking a Clinical Nurse - NICU for our Level III NICU at Holy Cross Hospital. You will provide specialized nursing care to critically ill and premature infants and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities include attending high-risk deliveries, administering medications, charting in Cerner EMR (EPIC transition), and educating families for discharge. This role offers a collaborative environment and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN required; BSN/MSN preferred).
• Current RN license with Maryland Board of Nursing or a Compact State.
• BLS certification from American Heart Association; additional life support per unit requirements.

Position Purpose

Join the Level III NICU team at Holy Cross Health, where compassionate care meets advanced technology. Our NICU is known for putting patients and families first, supported by a collaborative and expert care team.

What You Will Do

• Provide specialized nursing care for critically ill and premature infants
• Collaborate closely with Neonatologists, Pediatricians, Respiratory Therapists, and Social Workers
• Attend high-risk deliveries (e.g., multiple gestation, meconium, congenital anomalies)
• Administer medications, manage IV lines, and operate ventilators/CPAP
• Educate families on infant care and support discharge readiness
• Chart using Cerner EMR (transitioning to EPIC)

Minimum Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Associate degree required; BSN/MSN preferred)
• Current RN license with the Maryland Board of Nursing or a Compact State
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association (additional life support certifications per unit requirements)
• NICU experience preferred

Pay rate

$37.88 - $54.19
Pay is based on experience, skills, and education.
Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates.
The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
