Job summary

Holy Cross Health in Silver Spring, MD seeks a Clinical Nurse in Labor and Delivery to deliver expert care within a high-performing Women’s and Children’s unit. You’ll join a team that includes anesthesiologists, physicians, and a Level III NICU, providing support in a dynamic, patient-centered environment.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years labor and delivery nursing experience.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program; ASN required, BSN/MSN preferred.
• Current Maryland RN license or compact state equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered care during labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum.
• Monitor fetal heart tones, administer medications, and coach patients through labor.
• Anticipate and respond to complications using clinical protocols.
• Assist and circulate in the operating room for cesarean sections and OB/GYN procedures.
• Document care and patient progress using EPIC.
• Collaborate with NICU teams and physicians during high-risk deliveries.
