Job summary

Holy Cross Health is seeking a Clinical Nurse – NICU to work in the Level III NICU at Holy Cross Hospital in Silver Spring. This full-time role requires a nurse licensed in Maryland (or a compact state) with BLS and NICU experience preferred.

You will provide care for critically ill infants, attend high-risk deliveries, and support families through discharge planning. Join a collaborative team with state-of-the-art monitoring and technology.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Associate degree required; BSN/MSN preferred).
• Current RN license with the Maryland Board of Nursing or a Compact State.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association; additional life support certifications per unit requirements.
• NICU experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized nursing care for critically ill and premature infants.
• Collaborate closely with Neonatologists, Pediatricians, Respiratory Therapists, and Social Workers.
• Attend high-risk deliveries (e.g., multiple gestation, meconium, congenital anomalies).
• Administer medications, manage IV lines, and operate ventilators/CPAP.
• Educate families on infant care and support discharge readiness.
• Chart using Cerner EMR (transitioning to EPIC).

Pay rate

Pay rate: $37.88 – $54.19

Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
