Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking a Level 2 Network Support Engineer to join our Managed Services team in Jacksonville, FL. This on-site role focuses on network infrastructure, troubleshooting, and client support across multiple environments.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on networking experience and strong communication skills to explain complex concepts to stakeholders. Primary responsibilities include escalation, troubleshooting, and maintaining network performance with firewall support across

Qualifications

Hands-on networking experience with strong troubleshooting skills.
Ability to communicate technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Experience supporting LAN/WAN, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs, and routing/switching.
Experience with firewall deployments from Fortinet, Cisco, Palo Alto or SonicWall.

Responsibilities

Serve as the primary escalation point for network incidents from Level 1 support.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues across multiple client environments.
Monitor, maintain, and optimize network performance.
Configure and maintain switches, routers, firewalls, and Wireless APs.
Support Layer 1–3 connectivity, IP addressing, and subnetting.
Assist with firewall deployments and troubleshooting across vendors.
