Job summary

Applied Industrial Technologies, a leading industrial solutions provider, seeks a Level 2 IT Support Specialist who will escalate Level 1 issues, image and deploy PCs, and support CAD software across the enterprise. You will manage endpoints, assist new hires, and document solutions for knowledge base improvements.

The role requires Windows 11 expertise, SCCM experience, and strong customer service skills; Portland metro residency is required with no relocation support.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 2–4 years in Level 1/Level 2 IT support or desktop support.
• Strong knowledge of Windows 11 desktop OS.
• Imaging and deploying PCs via SCCM or similar tools.
• Experience with wired/wireless endpoint connectivity.
• Experience with OEM hardware utilities (Dell/Lenovo).
• Familiarity with CAD/engineering software applications.
• Active Directory / Microsoft Entra ID management.
• Clear communication and ability to handle multiple tickets.
• Must live in Portland metro area; relocation not provided.
• Authorized to work in the United States; sponsorship not offered.

Responsibilities

• Escalation point for Level 1 issues; triage, diagnose, and resolve tickets or escalate as needed.
• Triage, diagnose, and resolve tickets within SLAs; maintain records.
• Provide desktop/laptop hardware and software support; diagnose issues.
• Image, configure, and deploy PCs using standard images and tools.
• Install and support CAD/engineering software and OEM utilities.
• Set up accounts, profiles, and endpoint security with IT security teams.
• Prepare knowledge base articles and runbooks; support process improvements.
