Job summary

CompuCom Staffing is seeking a Level 2 Audio-Visual Technician to join the team onsite in Rio Rancho, NM. You will interact with clients in person and via phone, email, and IM, working in a dynamic team and cross-training to backfill peers.

The role includes maintenance, firmware updates, and coordinating with L3/L4 on large deployments. The ideal candidate has 2+ years of AV experience, solid knowledge of AV signal flow, and proficiency with Extron/AMX components, plus strong customer service

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of audio-visual experience.
  • Complete knowledge of audio/video signal flow.
  • Must understand Extron components and integrated AV signal paths (Scalers, Switchers, DAs, Extenders).
  • May be required to travel between sites using personal vehicle / company van.
  • Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. solo.
  • May be required to walk / sit / stand / crawl / kneel for extended periods.
  • Excellent customer service skills and written/verbal communication skills.
  • Requires knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily and quarterly preventative maintenance checks in conference room environments.
  • Update database of record daily.
  • Serve as point of contact for Level 1 technicians.
  • Monitor online queues to assist with break/fix and meeting support requests.
  • Assist and coordinate with L3/L4 on large deployments or renovations.
  • Engage external vendors for RMA replacements.
  • Escalate issues to L3/L4 as needed.

Job description

Our client is currently seeking a Level 2 Audio-Visual Technician to join their team onsite in Rio Rancho, NM. This Technician will have frequent interaction with clients in person and via phone, email, and IM. They will be working in a dynamic team and cross training to backfill for peer team members. The client will challenge you with additional responsibilities, assigned periodically aimed to help meet their needs and provide the technician with continuous hands‑on training and experience.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Daily and quarterly preventative maintenance checks in the conference room environment
  • Daily updates in the database of record, both online and offline
  • Acting as point of contact for Level 1 technicians
  • Monitoring of online queues to assist customers with break / fix and meeting support requests
  • Engaging customers' requests for meeting support
  • Updating Extron and AMX firmware for preventative maintenance
  • Engage external vendors for RMA replacement
  • Escalating large, or out of scope, break / fix issues and workarounds to L3 / L4
  • Assisting and coordinating L3 / L4 with large deployment or renovation projects
Skills and Qualifications

Wage Range

The rate for this position is between $20.21 - $26.95 per hour, unless local minimum wage is higher. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
