Job summary

Centurion Health seeks a Level 1 Medication Aide for the Potosi Correctional Center in Mineral Point, Missouri. Under supervision, you will administer prescribed medications and document effectiveness and any side effects.

Required: high school diploma or GED; active Level 1 Medication Aide certification or insulin certification preferred; CPR/AED; background check. Evening shift 2:30 pm–11:00 pm; experience in acute care, emergency, or correctional settings preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current Level 1 Medication Aide certification (DHSS/DMH) preferred.
• Insulin certification preferred.
• CPR/AED certification required.
• Background check and agency security clearance where applicable.
• Minimum one year of experience in acute care, emergency or correctional settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administers medications as prescribed and documents effectiveness and any adverse actions.
• Maintains records of medication administration and reports side effects as needed.
• Works evening shift 2:30 pm–11:00 pm and adheres to facility policies.

Pay Ranges from $20.00-$23.00 per hour + shift diff, depending on years of experience!Centurion is proud to be the provider of comprehensive healthcare services to the Missouri Department of Corrections. We are currently seeking a full-time Level 1 Medication Aide to join our team at Potosi Correctional Center located in Mineral Point, Missouri.The Level 1 Medication Aide Under the direction of the facility Director of Nursing / nursing designee, administers medications as prescribed; and documents the medication effectiveness and any noted adverse actions or side effects.Full Time- Evening Shift, 2:30 pm-11pmHigh school diploma or GED required.Preferred to have current active Level 1 Medication Aide certification from the Department of Health and Senior Services (DHSS) or the Department of Mental Health (DMH) which may also be referred to as DD Medication Aide (mo.tmutest.com).Insulin certification preferred.Must complete required continuing education to maintain certification (minimum of four (4) hours of medication administration training every two (2) years). Required training will be documented and maintained in Employee File. Must maintain current tuberculosis documentation and active CPR/AED certification.If not already Level 1 Medication Aide certified – applicant must successfully complete internal level one medication aide and insulin training to maintain employment beyond probationary period.Must be able to pass a background investigation and obtain agency security clearance where applicable.One year experience in acute care, emergency or correctional setting preferred.INDMHM
