Centurion is seeking a Medication Aide Level 1 for the Eastern Reception, Diagnostic, and Correctional Center in Bonne Terre, MO. Under nursing supervision, you will administer prescribed medications and document effectiveness, adverse actions, and side effects.

Required: high school diploma or GED. Prefer Level 1 Medication Aide certification (DHSS/DMH) and insulin certification. Evening shift with benefits including health, 401(k), PTO, and CE support.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Prefer DHSS/DMH Level 1 Medication Aide certification.
• Insulin certification preferred.
• CPR/AED certification preferred.
• Background check and security clearance may be required.
• 1 year experience in acute care, emergency, or correctional setting preferred.
• Evening shift available.
• Continuing education mandatory every 2 years.

Responsibilities

• Administers medications as prescribed and documents effectiveness and any adverse actions.
• Maintains accurate medication records for each patient.
• Monitors for side effects and reports concerns to nursing staff.
• Complies with TB, CPR/AED, and infection control requirements.
• Provides patient care and support during evening shift.

Pay Ranges from $20-$23 per hourCenturion is proud to be the provider of comprehensive healthcare services to the Missouri Department of Corrections.We are currently seeking a Medication Aide Level 1 to join our team at Eastern Reception, Diagnostic, and Correctional Center located in Bonne Terre, Missouri.The Medication Aide Level 1 (MO) Under the direction of the facility Director of Nursing / nursing designee, administers medications as prescribed; and documents the medication effectiveness and any noted adverse actions or side effects.High school diploma or GED required.Preferred to have current active Level 1 Medication Aide certification from the Department of Health and Senior Services (DHSS) or the Department of Mental Health (DMH) which may also be referred to as DD Medication Aide (mo.tmutest.com).Insulin certification preferred.Must complete required continuing education to maintain certification (minimum of four (4) hours of medication administration training every two (2) years). Required training will be documented and maintained in Employee File.
