Job summary

Centurion Health is seeking a Medication Aide Level 1 to join our team at Eastern Reception, Diagnostic, and Correctional Center in Bonne Terre, Missouri.

Under the direction of the facility Director of Nursing, administers medications as prescribed and documents effectiveness; candidates should have a High School diploma/GED; Level 1 certification preferred; insulin certification preferred. We offer competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Preferred Level 1 Medication Aide certification from DHSS/DMH.
• Insulin certification preferred.
• Continuing education every two years (4 hours).
• Maintain tuberculosis documentation and CPR/AED certification.
• If not Level 1 certified, complete internal training to remain employed beyond probation.
• Pass background check and obtain security clearance where applicable.
• One year experience in acute care, emergency or correctional setting preferred.

We are currently seeking a Medication Aide Level 1 to join our team at Eastern Reception, Diagnostic, and Correctional Center located in Bonne Terre, Missouri.

The Medication Aide Level 1 (MO) Under the direction of the facility Director of Nursing / nursing designee, administers medications as prescribed; and documents the medication effectiveness and any noted adverse actions or side effects.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Preferred to have current active Level 1 Medication Aide certification from the Department of Health and Senior Services (DHSS) or the Department of Mental Health (DMH) which may also be referred to as DD Medication Aide (mo.tmutest.com).
• Insulin certification preferred.
• Must complete required continuing education to maintain certification (minimum of four (4) hours of medication administration training every two (2) years). Required training will be documented and maintained in Employee File. Must maintain current tuberculosis documentation and active CPR/AED certification.
• If not already Level 1 Medication Aide certified – applicant must successfully complete internal level one medication aide and insulin training to maintain employment beyond probationary period.
• Must be able to pass a background investigation and obtain agency security clearance where applicable.
• One year experience in acute care, emergency or correctional setting preferred.
