Job summary

Centurion Health is seeking a Medication Aide Level 1 at the Eastern Reception, Diagnostic, and Correctional Center in Bonne Terre, Missouri. Under supervision, you will administer prescribed medications, document effectiveness and any adverse effects, and maintain required certifications.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, with preferred Level 1 DHSS/DMH certification and insulin certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Preferred Level 1 Medication Aide certification from DHSS or DMH.
• Insulin certification preferred.
• Must complete required continuing education (minimum 4 hours every 2 years).
• Must maintain TB documentation and active CPR/AED certification.
• Background investigation and agency security clearance may be required.
• One year experience in acute care, emergency or correctional setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administers medications as prescribed and documents effectiveness and any adverse actions or side effects under supervision.
• Maintains certification and completes required training; documents continuing education.

Pay Ranges from $20-$23 per hourCenturion is proud to be the provider of comprehensive healthcare services to the Missouri Department of Corrections.We are currently seeking a Medication Aide Level 1 to join our team at Eastern Reception, Diagnostic, and Correctional Center located in Bonne Terre, Missouri.The Medication Aide Level 1 (MO) Under the direction of the facility Director of Nursing / nursing designee, administers medications as prescribed; and documents the medication effectiveness and any noted adverse actions or side effects.High school diploma or GED required.Preferred to have current active Level 1 Medication Aide certification from the Department of Health and Senior Services (DHSS) or the Department of Mental Health (DMH) which may also be referred to as DD Medication Aide (mo.tmutest.com).Insulin certification preferred.Must complete required continuing education to maintain certification (minimum of four (4) hours of medication administration training every two (2) years). Required training will be documented and maintained in Employee File.
