Job summary

Centurion Health is seeking a Full-Time Medication Aide Level 1 to join Missouri Eastern Correctional Center in Pacific, MO. You will administer medications, document effectiveness and any adverse actions under the Nursing Director’s direction.

Two day shifts (6am-3:30pm) and two evening shifts (2pm-10:30pm) are available, with comprehensive benefits including health plans, 401(k), PTO and CE opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Preferred to have current active Level 1 Medication Aide certification from DHSS or DMH.
• Insulin certification preferred.
• Must complete continuing education to maintain certification (4 hours every 2 years).
• Maintain tuberculosis documentation and active CPR/AED certification.
• If not Level 1 certified, complete internal Level 1 training to remain employed beyond probation.
• Must pass background check and obtain agency security clearance where applicable.
• One year experience in acute care, emergency or correctional setting preferred.

We are currently seeking a Full-Time Medication Aide Level 1to join our team at Missouri Eastern Correctional Center located inPacific, Missouri.

The Medication Aide Level 1 (MO) Under the direction of the facility Director of Nursing / nursing designee, administers medications as prescribed; and documents the medication effectiveness and any noted adverse actions or side effects.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.


• Preferred to have current active Level 1 Medication Aide certification from the Department of Health and Senior Services (DHSS) or the Department of Mental Health (DMH) which may also be referred to as DD Medication Aide (mo.tmutest.com).


• Insulin certification preferred.


• Must complete required continuing education to maintain certification (minimum of four (4) hours of medication administration training every two (2) years). Required training will be documented and maintained in Employee File. Must maintain current tuberculosis documentation and active CPR/AED certification.


• If not already Level 1 Medication Aide certified – applicant must successfully complete internal level one medication aide and insulin training to maintain employment beyond probationary period.


• Must be able to pass a background investigation and obtain agency security clearance where applicable.


• One year experience in acute care, emergency or correctional setting preferred.

2 Day 6am-3:30pm shifts and 2 Evening 2pm-10:30pm Shifts (Total of Four 8-hour shifts)
