Weill Cornell Medicine - Qatar seeks a Physician Assistant in Hematology and Medical Oncology to provide direct patient care in collaboration with a supervising physician and within a defined scope of privileges. The PA will perform history taking, exams, order tests, prescribe therapies, document visits, and contribute to teaching and research activities.

The position requires graduation from an ARC-PA accredited program; a Master’s degree is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Graduate from ARC-PA accredited program.
  • Master's degree preferred.
  • Approximately 2 years of work experience in a clinical setting highly desired.
  • New grads may be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Direct patient care and coordination within specialty areas.
  • Evaluates patients by obtaining comprehensive and focused health histories and performing exams.
  • Orders labs, imaging, diagnostics, and consultations; develops care plans.
  • Prescribes medications and therapeutic interventions per guidelines.
  • Documents in medical records per standards.
  • Counsels patients and caregivers on disease management and prevention.
  • Confers with specialists and staff to promote continuity of care.
  • Assists in research protocols and may participate in teaching.
