Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation seeks a Systems Engineer for the LEO Ground Project to ensure the CGS is prepared for future missions and to support integration and testing of telemetry and command systems. The role requires coordinating with NASA, contractors, and internal teams at facilities in Greenbelt and Suitland, MD.

With 6+ years in ground systems, you will lead cross-functional activities, evaluate issues from a systems perspective, and deploy to polar ground sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in engineering, science, or equivalent STEM.
• Discipline 6+ years of progressively responsible professional experience with ground system command and telemetry hardware and/or software.
• Proven knowledge in at least one core area of ground system engineering—requirements, design, development, interfaces, integration, test, operations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare CGS for future missions with validation and end-to-end testing of telemetry/command systems.
• Collaborate with Project Managers to address complex technical challenges and provide recommendations.
• Engage in mission systems engineering activities including architecture, requirements, design, integration, test, and verification.
• Coordinate with mission stakeholders, vendors, and NASA engineers to drive systems engineering activities forward.
• Provide technical information to Aerospace ETG and support investigations and studies.
