The Lending Specialist II will assist with loan interviews, processing, closings, and post-closing activities while delivering exceptional member service and promoting CU products.

Responsibilities

• Assist members and internal teams via calls, emails, chats, and inquiries.
• Conduct loan interviews and closings while ensuring compliance.
• Coordinate appraisals, title work, insurance verification, employment verification, and other third-party services.
• Prepare loan files and communicate underwriting requirements to move loans to clear‑to‑close.
• Generate and review loan closing documents for accuracy.
• Fund loans, balance transactions, and support the closing process with members and partners.
• Assist with underwriting support activities and loan quality checks.
• Support post-closing audits and ensure compliance.
• Promote Northland's credit union products and services.

You'll work closely with members, loan originators, underwriters, title companies, and other partners to ensure a smooth and efficient lending experience while delivering outstanding service every step of the way.

• Preparing loan files, communicating underwriting requirements, and helping move loans to clear-to-close status
• Generating and reviewing loan closing documents for accuracy
• Funding loans, balancing transactions, and supporting the closing process with members and business partners
• Analyzing member financial information and assisting with underwriting support activities
• Supporting post-closing audits and ensuring loan quality and compliance standards are met
• Promoting Credit Union products and services that help members meet their financial needs
