Job summary

Housing Partnership Network seeks a Senior Loan Officer to grow capital access for affordable housing developers. In Boston, you will source, underwrite, and move transactions from opportunity to term sheet, building trusted borrower relationships and reporting to the Director of Lending.

This senior, relationship-driven role blends production with mission impact, requiring strong credit judgment, collaboration across the network, and deep knowledge of nonprofit housing finance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; advanced degree a plus.
• Two to eight years of experience in commercial real estate lending focused on affordable housing.
• Ability to manage borrower relationships with a customer-centered approach.
• Proven lending track record with disciplined use of sales tools.
• Experience with credit analysis and term-sheet preparation.
• Strong sales and business development skills; mission-driven.

Responsibilities

• Relationship building and pipeline development with HPN members; expand lending presence.
• Conduct initial underwriting and prepare term sheets for underwriting.
• Special projects to strengthen HPF’s portfolio, processes, and market presence.
• Collaborate with Asset and Portfolio Management and respond to investor needs.
