U.S. Bank is seeking a Market Credit Administrator – Lending Authority Management Professional to strengthen the lending authority bench within Business Banking Credit.

This role supports risk-aligned decision-making and ensures consistency across lending activities at scale. The position partners with Credit Risk Management and Quality Management to earn and maintain authority, provides coverage during surges, and coaches developing underwriters through increasing complexity and authority

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field or equivalent.
• Experience in commercial credit analysis, underwriting, or risk management.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
• Typically eight to ten years of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Supports Credit Risk Management’s evaluation and recommendation of lending authorities.
• Apply and reinforce a consistent, risk-based lending authority rubric across credit roles.
• Develop and execute targeted development plans addressing skill gaps and complex risk scenarios.
• Maintain lending authority to provide joinder support and coverage during peaks.
• Serve as a centralized point of contact for lending authority initiatives and ongoing support.
• Partner with Quality Management to identify trends, test feedback, and remediation efforts.
• Collaborate with credit leaders to support evolving underwriting structures and levels.
