Job summary

PointBank is seeking a detail-oriented Lending Assistant to support our commercial lenders throughout the loan lifecycle. This role suits someone who thrives on deadlines, loves handling important details, and enjoys helping customers stay on track.

You’ll open loan requests, gather documents, coordinate appraisals and due-diligence tasks, assist with closings and bookings, and support borrowers on payments, transfers, and loan draws.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Previous commercial lending, loan-processing, or banking experience is preferred.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills are essential.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple files, priorities and deadlines.
• Professional, dependable, customer-focused approach.
• Ability to work effectively with internal and external parties.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary administrative contact for assigned commercial lenders.
• Provide responsive, professional assistance to current and prospective borrowers.
• Open loan requests and assemble complete application packages.
• Collect financial statements, tax returns, entity documents, rent rolls, contracts, budgets, and other documents.
• Coordinate appraisals, environmental reports, flood determinations, title work, surveys, and other due-diligence items.
• Help prepare approved loans for closing and booking.
• Assist customers with payments, transfers, interest calculations, insurance reports, and address changes.
• Assist customers with construction-loan draws.
• Monitor loan maturities, past-due payments, ticklers, and exception reports.
• Contact customers to obtain updated financial information.
