Job summary

Highgate Hotels Hawaii is seeking an Area Account Director – Leisure Sales to lead strategic leisure sales across the Hawaii portfolio. You will manage key wholesale, consortia, and travel advisor accounts, build lasting partnerships, and collaborate with Revenue Management and hotel leadership to drive room nights and revenue.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of progressive hotel, hospitality, or leisure sales experience.
• Four-year college degree and at least 3 years of related experience; or two-year college degree and at least 5 years of related experience.
• Hawaii hotel, destination, wholesale, or leisure travel sales experience strongly preferred.
• Must possess a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary sales relationship manager for assigned wholesale, consortia, and retail travel advisor accounts on behalf of the Highgate Hawaii portfolio.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key account contacts, decision-makers, product teams, travel advisors, marketing teams, and other stakeholders who influence Hawaii business.
• Develop and maintain a strategic account plan for each assigned account, outlining opportunities, challenges, and production goals.
• Identify opportunities to increase room nights, revenue, market share, and overall account contribution.
• Collaborate with Revenue Management, Sales, Marketing, and hotel leadership to address need periods and capitalize on market opportunities.
• Monitor production for assigned accounts and hotels, analyze trends, and provide market intelligence to leadership.
