Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a qualified Legal Studies staff member to teach assigned courses within the ABA-aligned program in Scranton, PA. You will support student progression, provide tutoring, and help prepare graduates for employment or further study.

You will collaborate with the program director to design experiential learning, coordinate assessments, and contribute to curriculum development while maintaining current knowledge of the legal studies field and teaching methods.

Qualifications

• JD required and teaching online experience preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of industry experience preferred.
• Experience developing or revising curriculum preferred.
• Teaching online is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and written/oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assume teaching duties as assigned by the program director within the Legal Studies program as a core program staff member.
• Provide tutoring assistance to students that require it as assigned.
• Prepare students for success in program progression, advising, and employment or further education.
• Assist the Director in developing, conducting, coordinating, and evaluating experiential learning opportunities.
• Maintain knowledge of the legal studies field and pedagogy through professional development.
• Participate in curriculum design and ABA standards alignment.
• Assist with ABA re-approval and compliance tasks.
• Oversee assessment from admission to post-graduation per the program plan.
• Assist in publicizing and disseminating information about the Legal Studies program.
• Participate in college committees and professional development opportunities.
