- The Legal Recruiting & Professional Development Assistant provides administrative support to the Legal Recruiting and Professional Development department for the NY and Boston offices.
- Assists with organizing and implementing the Summer Associate Program, including tracking pre-arrival information, drafting notices, scheduling orientation sessions, exit interviews, creating nametags, and planning social events and training programs.
- Supports all aspects of the recruitment process, such as registering for interview programs, managing resume collection, coordinating job fairs, maintaining candidate files, and scheduling interviews.
- Assists with onboarding incoming lawyers.
- Monitors the Legal Recruiting Outlook email account daily, responding as appropriate.
- Supports lateral associate and judicial clerk applications, preparing candidate summaries and liaising with search firms.
- Maintains the legal recruiting database, viRecruit, and candidate files.
- Prepares correspondence to potential candidates and legal personnel.
- Coordinates payments related to new hires and travel expenses for candidates.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Professional Development:
- Schedules Professional Development meetings in relation to NY attorney evaluations.
- Supports training programs in the NY office and assists NY attorneys attending external programs.
- Manages outside training sources, maintains knowledge of available options, and oversees registration policies.
- Engages in special projects, including data tracking and report generation.
Requirements:
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills; ability to interact professionally at all levels.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a client service focus.
- Capable of balancing priorities and working efficiently under deadlines.
- Exercises confidentiality and discretion.
- Proficient in computer skills, including database search, data entry, and MS Office; familiarity with viRecruit is a plus.
- Available to work additional hours from May through September.
- 1-2 years of experience in legal recruiting or professional development preferred.
- College degree strongly preferred.

Workplace: In-office Monday-Thursday, remote Fridays
Salary range: $65,600 - $92,347
