Intone Networks Inc. is seeking a Legal Pricing Manager (Litigation) in New York to lead the firm’s pricing and client engagements. You will develop bespoke fee arrangements, oversee pricing models, and build forecasting tools to support budgets and matter tracking.

You will collaborate with the Legal Project Management team, monitor market trends, and ensure pricing strategies align with firm objectives and client expectations. A strong background in law firm pricing and analytics is essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related discipline.
  • Minimum of five years of pricing, budgeting, financial analysis, or related role in a law firm or professional services environment.
  • Broad experience with law firm technology, including ADERANT or other law firm accounting software.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, database reporting, and relational databases.
  • Adaptability to new software and systems.
  • Experience with annual budget processes, project ownership, and generating actionable insights.
  • Skill in project management, multitasking, and meeting deadlines in fast-paced environments.
  • Knowledge of industry best practices, statistical methods, and business analytics.
  • Detail-oriented with strong proofreading, fact-checking, and analytical skills.
  • Professionalism, emotional intelligence, cultural sensitivity, and effective communication.
  • Capability for independent work, team collaboration, and adapting to change.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee pricing model developments with pricing analysts, ensuring analysis quality and workflow efficiency.
  • Prepare templates and robust financial pricing models with analyses for proposed outcomes.
  • Establish pricing metrics to improve individual proposals and pricing team initiatives.
  • Review fee arrangements, provisions, and terms to ensure policy compliance.
  • Track market data and pricing trends by region, practice area, and other differentiators.
  • Monitor trends and update pricing models accordingly.
  • Maintain benchmarks for Litigation TBilling and related workstreams.
  • Expand benchmark analysis and develop lead partner relationships for model matters.
  • Oversee pitches and budget estimates in SBA Tracker for relevant matters.
  • Implement budgets in SBA Tracker and coordinate with Legal Project Management for handoffs.
  • Monitor performance of key matters and provide guidance to pricing analysts.
  • Identify and develop fee arrangements for key practice areas and industries.
  • Capture current market information to inform pricing decisions and forecasting.
  • Supervise, educate, and mentor pricing analysts.

Job description

We are seeking a Legal Pricing Manager (Litigation) to join our firm in New York. You will support the firm's pricing and client engagement strategies through the development and implementation of tailored fee arrangements that align with client expectations and firm objectives. You will oversee the creation and refinement of financial models, pricing tools, and reporting systems to enhance forecasting, budgeting, and performance monitoring for key matters. You will manage the transition of data systems, develop user-friendly tools to streamline data access and analysis, track market trends and competitive pricing data, and collaborate with the Legal Project Management team to ensure seamless matter tracking and budget implementation.

Responsibilities
  • Work with partners to develop, negotiate, and implement appropriate fee arrangements that meet client budget and pricing demands while fulfilling internal firm requirements; support partners in client pricing conversations.
  • Oversee pricing model developments with the firm's pricing analysts, ensuring analysis complies with requests and quality standards, and facilitate efficient workflow between analysts and partners.
  • Prepare templates and robust financial pricing models with analyses to provide partners with projected outcomes for alternative pricing arrangements.
  • Establish pricing metrics that allow the firm to continually improve both individual fee proposals and broader pricing team engagements and initiatives.
  • Review fee arrangements, special provisions, and terms and conditions of client engagements to ensure compliance with firm-wide policies and procedures.
  • Track competitive market data and pricing trends by region, practice area, and other relevant differentiators.
  • Monitor current trends and recommend updates to existing pricing models.
  • Maintain benchmarks for Litigation Task-based Billing, examining periodically and revaluing annually.
  • Expand benchmark analysis to include detailed litigation workstreams; develop relationships with lead partners, identify benchmark matters, define workstreams, analyze results, and template model matters.
  • Oversee the team to record all pitches and budget estimates in SBA Tracker for relevant matters.
  • Implement budgets in SBA Tracker and liaise with the Legal Project Management team to hand off matters that need further tracking.
  • Monitor performance of key matters.
  • Identify and develop fee arrangements specific to key practice areas and industries.
  • Capture and effectively use current market information in pricing decisions; design and implement effective reporting and systems to assist partners in monitoring and forecasting client engagements against budget.
  • Supervise, educate, and mentor the firm's pricing analysts.
  • Ensure current knowledge of firm policies and practices, industry trends, and continued professional development for business services professionals.
  • Participate in the interviewing, selection, and training process.
  • Coordinate and oversee department projects, day-to-day operations, and long-range plans.
  • Monitor time, attendance, overtime, and expense reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with firm policies.
  • Oversee employee work performance and provide guidance in the resolution of problems.
