Job summary

Jobtailor in the United States seeks an experienced Pricing & Profitability Analyst to develop pricing models and monitor engagements within professional services. You will deliver insights, participate in negotiations, and manage client relationships while leveraging BI tools and advanced Excel skills.

Ideal candidates have 7+ years in FP&A, a finance-focused degree (MBA preferred), and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

7+ years of financial experience in a law firm or professional services environment.
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business is required
MBA or related Master’s degree preferred
Strong financial planning and analysis background
Experience creating and maintaining advanced financial and pricing models
Experience using business intelligence tools
SQL experience is a plus
Advanced proficiency in Excel
Strong quantitative abilities and problem-solving skills, including factoring qualitative aspects of an engagement into business decision-making
Ability to listen and communicate proficiently with executive-level personnel
Customer service-oriented and professional demeanor
Demonstrated ability to self-start on projects and work independently
Ability to adapt to multiple demands, shifting priorities, and rapid change

Responsibilities

Develop pricing models that return competitive pricing while achieving firm profit objectives
Monitor existing pricing arrangements and coordinate with the business to update them as needed
Deliver timely and relevant insights on pricing initiatives and results
Participate in pricing negotiations and auctions with customers
Monitor competitive pricing and industry trends
Implement matter management tools to ensure matters are executed efficiently within pricing guidelines and budget
Track implementation of complex pricing engagements and manage key client relationships
Manage content in the firm’s contract database
Perform ad hoc analyses and projects requested by executive leadership, attorneys, directors, managers, and others
Report to the Director of Pricing and Profitability
