Job summary

Selective Insurance seeks a Legal Operations Supervisor to oversee daily operations of the Wayne/Scranton, PA or Marlton, NJ staff counsel offices. You will manage legal assistants and paralegals and coordinate with internal departments to keep office functions running smoothly.

Responsibilities include supervising staff, ensuring compliance with court rules, improving workflows, managing budgets, and supporting hiring and onboarding of legal staff.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of State and Federal court rules, procedures and filing requirements.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel; Experience with legal case management software.
• Excellent customer service, written, and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise administrative staff, including evaluations, workflow optimization, training needs and assessments.
• Review workflows to ensure alignment with legal and regulatory changes and deadlines.
• Oversee office systems and liaise with IT, legal databases and vendors; maintain the office handbook.
• Plan events and coordinate with Claims Managers and Adjusters for settlements and meetings.
• Participate in hiring and onboarding of legal staff; conduct interviews and training.
• Ensure smooth daily operations; manage timekeeping and enforce office policies.
• Maintain office forms and ensure compliance with court rules; keep software updated.
• Manage the office budget, invoices, and business continuity planning.
• Prepare and analyze reports on claims, productivity, compliance, and accounting.
• Manage facilities and procurement; coordinate security, janitorial, and IT support.
