Job summary

Selective Insurance seeks a Legal Operations Supervisor for our Wayne or Scranton, PA, or Marlton, NJ staff counsel offices. You will oversee the daily operations of a Staff Counsel law office, ensuring administrative efficiency and regulatory compliance.

Manage legal assistants and paralegals, support the Managing Attorney, and coordinate with internal departments to maintain smooth office functions. Develop staff, optimize workflows, plan operational strategy, and ensure adherence to

Qualifications

• Knowledge of State and Federal court rules, procedures and filing requirements.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel is required.
• Experience with legal case management software is required.
• Excellent customer service, written, and verbal communication skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise administrative staff, including performance evaluations, workflow optimization, training needs and assessment.
• Review workflows to ensure alignment with legal and technological changes, suggesting and implementing changes as needed.
• Oversee office systems and serve as liaison for IT, legal databases and accounts payable.
• Plan and coordinate office events and court-related days; work with Claims Managers as needed.
• Participate in hiring and onboarding of staff and provide orientation and training.
• Ensure smooth daily operations, manage timekeeping and implement office policies.
• Maintain office forms and ensure compliance with court rules; keep software updated.
• Manage the office budget, reconcile invoices, and test the Business Continuity Plan.
