Job summary

The Legal Intern position at Ebara Elliott Energy supports our U.S. global headquarters in Jeannette, PA within the Risk Management department. You will gain hands-on exposure to corporate governance, transactional, compliance, and contract matters while contributing to real-world projects.

We seek a JD student in the 1st or 2nd year, authorized to work in the United States full-time. The twelve-week in-office internship runs Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m.

Qualifications

• JD student in 1st or 2nd year of law school.
• Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis; visa sponsorship is not available.
• Based at EEE headquarters in Jeannette, PA; commute Mon-Fri 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. for twelve weeks.
• Experience drafting NDAs and corporate governance documents preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide part-time assistance to the lawyers in the Risk Management Department, handling corporate, governance, transactional, litigation, compliance, and contract matters.
• Conduct legal research on various legal and compliance issues.
• Draft non-disclosure agreements and corporate governance documents.
• Review and draft sales and purchasing contracts.
• Review and summarize pleadings, depositions, and other litigation-related documents.
