Job summary

Energy Transfer invites students pursuing a JD or pre-law path to join the Legal Department as an intern for up to 12 weeks in summer 2027. You will work with the General Counsel and staff on a broad range of matters, including regulatory issues, contracts, and governance.

The program emphasizes training, mentorship, and cross-functional exposure while offering interaction with senior leadership. Applicants should be enrolled in law school or planning to attend law school after the internship.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a law school, 1st or 2nd year.
• Preference for candidates with at least one year of law school completed.
• Undergrad/grad students may be considered if accepted to law school in Fall 2027.

Responsibilities

• Support the Legal Department on diverse matters including litigation and contracts.
• Gain cross-functional knowledge through hands-on projects and mentorship.
• Interact with senior leadership and contribute to priority initiatives.
• Assist with regulatory issues, real property, compliance and governance tasks.
