Job summary

Ebara Elliott Energy seeks a 2027 Legal Intern to support the Risk Management team at its U.S. headquarters in Jeannette, PA. You will gain hands-on experience across corporate governance, transactional, litigation, compliance, and contract matters while working with EEE professionals.

Current JD students who have completed their 1st or 2nd year and are authorized to work in the United States full-time are invited to apply. The internship runs twelve weeks, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled JD student who has completed their 1st or 2nd year of law school.
• Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
• On-site internship at Jeannette, PA, for twelve weeks, commuting Monday–Friday 8:00–16:30.

Responsibilities

• Provide part-time assistance to lawyers in risk management, handling corporate, governance, transactional, litigation, compliance, and contract matters.
• Conduct legal research on various legal and compliance issues.
• Draft NDAs and corporate governance documents.
• Review and draft sales and purchasing contracts.
• Review and summarize pleadings, depositions, and other litigation-related documents.

2027 Legal Intern
Overview

This is a support role to assist Ebara Elliott Energy (EEE) professionals in our U.S. global headquarters location in Jeannette, PA. Students will receive "hands-on" experience in the Risk Management department in the rotating equipment industry.

At EEE, we design, build, refurbish and re-engineer products used by some of the largest companies in the world. EEE manufactures steam turbines, centrifugal and axial compressors, cryogenic pumps and expanders, power recovery expanders and gas expanders for use in energy markets worldwide.

All internships will consist of the following elements:

• Individual projects to own and complete for real world hands-on experience;
• Team project and activities designed to demonstrate cooperation;
• Exposure to the day-to-day responsibilities of EEE leadership including participation in company and customer meetings and job shadowing.

The Legal Intern will:

• Provide part-time assistance to the lawyers in the Risk Management Department, primarily in connection with the management of corporate, corporate governance, transactional, litigation, compliance, and contract matters.
• Conduct legal research on various legal and compliance issues.
• Draft Nondisclosure Agreements and corporate governance documents.
• Review and draft sales and purchasing contracts.
• Review and summarize pleadings, depositions, and other litigation-related documents.

Preferred candidate:

Currently enrolled JD student who has completed their 1st or 2nd year of law school.

Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis for any employer. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.

This internship will be based at the EEE headquarters in Jeannette, PA. Candidates must be able to commute to our Jeannette, PA headquarters Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. for twelve weeks.
