Qualifications

• 3+ years of law firm billing experience (required)
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Sound judgment and professionalism
• Ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with attorneys, clients, and internal stakeholders
• Serve as the primary billing contact for complex accounts — prebill review, revisions, invoice generation, posting, and documentation
• Partner with attorneys to develop billing and collections strategies, proactively resolving issues
• Analyze financial reports and billing data to identify trends and recommend improvements
• Ensure billing compliance with firm policies, client guidelines, and ethical standards
• Maintain accurate client/matter data, including rates, budgets, and billing instructions
• Monitor billing timelines and deadlines, including year-end close support
• Respond promptly to billing inquiries from attorneys, clients, and internal teams
• Prepare routine and ad hoc reports for firm leadership
• Collaborate with the Billing Manager, Finance team, and other departments on process improvements and special projects
