Job summary

Job description

CBIZ Talent Solutions is partnering with a mid-size law firm in the search for a Legal Billing Specialist for their West Los Angeles, California office. This is a hybrid position that offers two remote days per week once trained. This role will require interaction with both firm attorneys and external clients. The ideal candidate will have at least 5+ years of legal billing / e-billing experience out of a mid-sized to large law firm and strong technical skills. ProLaw, Aderant or Elite 3E experience strongly preferred.

Duties

• Running vendor time and billing reports
• Distributing prebills for editing and finalizing after edits are complete
• Communicating with attorneys, firm staff and clients to confirm guidelines, rates and payment terms
• Handling inquiries related to billing/e-billing status
• Assisting in preparing financial reports and generating billing summary reviews
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• 5+ years of legal billing / e-billing experience from a mid-size to large law firm (PLEASE DO NOT APPLY IF YOU DO NOT HAVE LAW FIRM BILLING EXPERIENCE)
• Familiarity with law firm billing practices, client billing guidelines, and time entry procedures
• High level of accuracy in processing and reconciling accounts to avoid discrepancies
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
• Demonstrate strong attention to detail and accuracy, prepare a clear and concise work product
• Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently or as a team; be customer service oriented
• Consistently demonstrate a high level of business acumen and professionalism when working with partners / clients/ management and colleagues

The salary range for this position is from $80,000-$95,000, DOE.
