Job summary

The Advocates - PNW in Spokane, WA is seeking an outgoing and mission-oriented Legal Balances Assistant to join our team. You will work with attorneys, legal assistants, and staff to support clients through their recovery journeys.

The role focuses on balancing payments, coordinating with providers and insurers, and maintaining meticulous records in a collaborative, compassionate environment. Compensation includes health benefits and PTO.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years law firm experience (preferred).
• 1–3 years of sales or customer service experience (preferred).
• Associate's degree (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to external and internal clients in a professional, courteous manner.
• Confirm outstanding balances with providers and insurance payment information.
• Negotiate reimbursement with insurance.
• Audit payor ledgers to ensure accuracy and that there are no overpayments.
• Coordinate payments and facilitate the closing process with clients.
• Maintain written and computer records in accordance with regulatory agencies.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to both external and internal clients with a professional, courteous manner

Experience and Professional Background

• 1-3 years Law Firm Experience (preferred)
• 1-3 years of Sales or Customer Service Experience (preferred)
• Associate's degree (preferred)

Compensation:Pay rate:

$21-24/hr
