Job summary

The Advocates, a growing personal injury law firm, seeks a Legal Balances Assistant for our Spokane, WA office. You will work with attorneys and staff to manage client accounts and ensure accurate billing.

You will confirm balances with providers, negotiate with insurance, audit ledgers, and maintain records in compliance with regulations. The role emphasizes client service, compassion for injured individuals, and the ability to juggle multiple cases.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years Law Firm Experience (preferred).
• 1-3 years of Sales or Customer Service Experience (preferred).
• Associate's degree (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to both external and internal clients with a professional, courteous manner
• Confirm outstanding balances with providers and insurance payment information
• Negotiate reimbursement with insurance
• Audit payor ledgers to ensure accuracy and that there are no overpayments
• Coordinating payments and facilitating the closing process with clients
• Effectively maintain written and computer records in accordance with regulatory agencies

Responsibilities

Experience and Professional Background

• 1-3 years Law Firm Experience (preferred)

• 1-3 years of Sales or Customer Service Experience (preferred)

Compensation:

• Pay rate:$21-24/hr.
