We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Legal Assistant / Paralegal to join our team and support our attorneys in delivering excellent legal representation.
Job Responsibilities:
• Assist attorneys with case management, including drafting legal documents, pleadings, and correspondence
• Conduct legal research and summarize findings
• File documents with courts and government agencies, ensuring compliance with deadlines and procedural requirements
• Maintain and organize client files, both physical and digital
• Schedule appointments, hearings, and depositions
• Communicate with clients, courts, and opposing counsel in a professional manner
• Prepare and manage billing and invoicing for clients
• Support attorneys with trial preparation, including organizing exhibits and preparing witness files
• Handle administrative duties such as answering phones, managing mail, and ordering office supplies
Qualifications:
• Minimum of 2-5 years' experience as a legal assistant or paralegal in a law firm setting
• Strong knowledge of legal terminology, court procedures, and legal document formatting
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal case management software
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• Bilingual in English and Spanish (preferred but not required)
