Job summary

Midland Credit Management, an Encore Capital Group Company, is seeking a Legal Assistant II to provide essential support to our in-house attorneys and regulatory team. You will assist in managing litigation, regulatory matters, and compliance processes while maintaining ethical standards.

You will interact with outside counsel and internal teams, draft pleadings and correspondence, organize files, and contribute to training programs for junior staff.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma is required.
• 1-3 years of experience in a Legal Assistant, Paralegal, or similar position.
• Active Ohio Notary is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review pleadings and draft legal documents for attorney review.
• Coordinate with outside counsel and Midland employees to gather information.
• Organize and maintain department files and records.
• Assist the Legal department with projects as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
