Job summary

Office of the Attorney General in Seattle, Washington, is seeking a Legal Assistant 1 (Range 42) to provide essential administrative support to the Consumer Protection Division. This permanent, full-time role is represented by WFSE and located in Seattle, with a salary range of $45,924 to $61,332 annually.

The position supports attorneys, manages case matters, and handles document preparation and filing in line with court rules.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent with two years of clerical experience including at least one year in a legal environment.
• Two years of legal office experience.
• Three years of college education and/or relevant experience.
• Two year degree in Legal Secretary Studies, Paralegal studies or related field.

Responsibilities

• Provide routine administrative legal support to CP Division AAGs enforcing the Consumer Protection Act.
• Process mail, oversee opening/closing of investigation and litigation case matters, and process invoices.
• Prepare and review various legal documents for proper formatting and ensure compliance with court rules prior to filing in various courts.
