Job summary

Murray Osorio PLLC is a fast-growing immigration law firm actively seeking a Legal Assistant to support paralegals and attorneys in Fairfax, VA and Silver Spring, MD. Daily on-site presence is required in a collaborative, mission-driven culture.

You will interpr et for non-Spanish-fluent attorneys, maintain case files, prepare petitions for mailing, and assist with various legal tasks. The role offers growth in immigration law and hands-on learning opportunities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Must be fluent in Spanish (reading, writing, speaking).
• Detail-oriented and highly organized.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with Salesforce and SharePoint preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Position Overview

The Legal Assistant plays a key role in supporting paralegals and attorneys and ensuring smooth daily operations. This position involves interpreting for non-Spanish-fluent attorneys, maintaining electronic and physical files, preparing immigration petitions for mailing, and assisting with legal work.

This is a full-time, in-office position based in Fairfax, VA, and Silver Spring, MD, with the expectation of daily on-site presence.

Key Responsibilities

Legal Support & Coordination

• Assist paralegals and attorneys with case preparation and documentation
• Prepare and mail immigration petitions and supporting documents

Client Communication & Interpretation

• Communicate clearly and professionally with clients when needed
