Job summary

Murray Osorio PLLC in Fairfax, VA (and Silver Spring, MD) seeks a full-time Legal Assistant to support paralegals and attorneys, translate for non-Spanish-fluent staff, and prepare immigration petitions for mailing. Position Overview

The Legal Assistant plays a key role in supporting paralegals and attorneys and ensuring smooth daily operations. This position involves interpreting for non-Spanish-fluent attorneys, maintaining electronic and physical files, preparing immigration petitions for mailing, and assisting with legal work.

This is a full-time, in-office position based in Fairfax, VA, and Silver Spring, MD, with the expectation of daily on-site presence

Key Responsibilities

Legal Support & Coordination

• Assist paralegals and attorneys with case preparation and documentation
• Prepare and mail immigration petitions and supporting documents
• Maintain organized electronic and physical case files

Client Communication & Interpretation

• Communicate clearly and professionally with clients when needed
• Assist in client document collection and gathering final petition assistance

Administrative & Operational Support

• Assist with office tasks and workflow management
• Support ongoing projects and initiatives within the firm

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
• Must be fluent in Spanish (reading, writing, speaking)
• Detail-oriented and highly organized
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
• Experience with Salesforce and SharePoint preferred
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
