Thomson Reuters seeks a Legal AI Engineer to partner with law firms, lead in-person discovery sessions, and translate insights into scalable prompts and playbooks across practice areas. This high-impact role blends customer strategy with hands-on AI experimentation to deliver practical solutions for client engagements.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited US law school required.
• Prior experience practicing law in any setting.
• Proven experience in customer- or client-facing roles, ideally with enterprise accounts.
• Familiarity with legal workflows such as due diligence, eDiscovery, or large document review.
• Demonstrable experience with generative AI applications.
• Experience with online legal research tools (Westlaw, Practical Law, Relativity, Everlaw, etc.).
• Tech-savvy with a willingness to learn new AI tools; no formal programming background required.
• Experience with Python or exploratory coding is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead in-person discovery sessions, solution demonstrations, and executive briefings with law firm customers.
• Scope use cases, advise on workflow and solution design, and demonstrate legal AI capabilities.
• Develop adoption strategies and support deployment to scale high-value use cases.
• Discover, test, and document best practices for applying Legal AI across workflows.
• Determine when Thomson Reuters products, partner solutions, integrations, or custom development fit customer needs.
• Advocate for customers and communicate needs to cross-functional teams including Product, Engineering, and Marketing.
