Job summary

Thomson Reuters is seeking a Legal AI Engineer to partner with law firms, uncover high-value legal workflows, and show how Legal AI can address them through discovery sessions, demonstrations, and executive briefings.

You will translate what you learn into reusable use cases, prompts, and playbooks, collaborate with Customer Success, Sales, and Product teams, and travel regularly (about 25–30%) to client sites to drive adoption.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited US law school required.
• Prior experience practicing law in a law firm, in-house legal department, government, clerkship, or similar setting.
• Experience in customer- or client-facing roles with enterprise or complex accounts.
• Demonstrable experience with generative AI applications.
• Experience with online legal research and practice tools (Westlaw, Practical Law, HighQ, Relativity, Everlaw, etc.).
• Tech-savvy with ability to learn new AI tools; formal programming background not required.

Responsibilities

• Lead in-person discovery sessions, solution demonstrations, workflow workshops, and executive briefings with law firm customers.
• Scope Legal AI use cases, advise on workflow and solution design, and demonstrate capabilities.
• Partner with Customer Success to develop adoption strategies and drive sustained use across practice areas.
• Discover, test, and document best practices, creating reusable use cases, prompts, and playbooks.
• Explain solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders and contribute to thought leadership.
