Job description

Crowell & Moring LLP is an international law firm with offices in the United States, Europe, MENA, and Asia that represents clients in litigation and arbitration, regulatory and policy, intellectual property, and transactional and corporate matters. The Legal Administrative Assistant provides entry-level administrative and customer service support to attorneys, legal secretaries, and practice groups, ensuring tasks and deadlines are handled efficiently and in line with firm policies.

Job Responsibilities

  • Answer and screen calls, respond to inquiries, and provide general office support.
  • Enter attorney time, process expenses, check requests, and vendor invoices.
  • Prepare New Client/New Matter forms and assist with billing edits.
  • Maintain contact databases and electronic filing systems.
  • Handle print, scan, copy, and document assembly tasks.
  • Coordinate travel, meetings, conferences, and visitor management.
  • Transcribe recordings and proofread documents for accuracy.
  • Support practice group meetings, events, and special projects.
  • Collaborate with legal teams, service departments, and vendors.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; knowledge of 3E, InTapp, Interaction, and Chrome River a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
  • Professional interpersonal skills with a customer service mindset.
  • Typing speed of at least 50 words per minute.
  • Willingness to work overtime and safely lift up to 25 lbs.

Education

High School Diploma or GED required; an AA, BA, BS, or equivalent specialized training is a plus.

Experience

Minimum of 1 year of office experience; legal administrative experience preferred.

Our Firm is committed to fair and equitable compensation practice in accordance with applicable laws. The salary range for this position is $50,900-$66,800. Additional compensation may include a discretionary bonus. The salary for this position may vary based on location, market data, an applicant’s skills and prior experience, certain degrees and certifications, and other factors.
