Job summary

Bechtel Corporation is seeking a LEED Specialist to support LEED certification efforts from design through construction. You will manage credit trackers, collect documentation, and assist project teams with routine LEED requirements, under guidance from the LEED Coordinator or Sustainability Manager.

Responsibilities include preparing narratives, maintaining records, and training staff on LEED procedures. Relevant engineering or sustainability background is required, with LEED credentials

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, environmental science, sustainability, or a related field and relevant professional experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience consistent with company staffing practices.
• Experience supporting building design, construction, sustainability, or green building certification activities is preferred.
• Experience on large, complex, or industrial projects is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Maintain LEED credit trackers, action logs, document registers, meeting notes, and status reports using established project tools and procedures.
• Collect supporting information from engineering, procurement, construction, contractors, consultants, and suppliers as required.
• Check submissions for completeness and alignment with defined credit and documentation requirements.
• Organize and upload approved documentation in LEED Online or other designated systems under the direction of the responsible LEED lead.
• Assist with routine reviews of specifications, submittals, product data, calculations, and construction records for assigned LEED credits.
• Coordinate follow-up on missing, incomplete, or inconsistent documentation and elevate unresolved issues or potential credit risks to the LEED Coordinator or Sustainability Manager.
• Prepare draft credit narratives, templates, meeting materials, progress summaries, and responses for review and approval by the responsible lead.
• Provide training materials to support project personnel and contractors who are less familiar with LEED documentation procedures, forms, and evidence requirements.
• Support construction-phase tracking for assigned topics such as waste, indoor air quality, erosion and sediment controls, low-emitting materials, and material sourcing, as applicable to the project credit strategy.
• Maintain orderly, auditable records and follow project document control, quality, and confidentiality requirements.
• Perform other LEED and sustainability support assignments consistent with the role.
