Job summary

David Brower Center in Berkeley seeks a Facilities Director to oversee daily operations, maintenance, and security for its LEED Platinum, 45,000-square-foot center. You will lead CAM, energy management, and safety programs while coordinating with the Executive Director and Facility Committee.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of combined experience in facilities management and commissioning for complex buildings.
• Proven leadership of staff and cross-functional collaboration with committees.
• Strong knowledge of commercial HVAC, hydronic systems, and building automation.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operations, maintenance, and safety for a multi-use, LEED-certified building.
• Oversee preventive maintenance, energy use tracking, and system optimization.
• Coordinate capital projects, bid processes, and vendor management.
• Manage budgets, contracts, permits, and regulatory compliance.
• Support tenant needs and event logistics with building-system coordination.
• Provide strategic partnership with executive leadership and facility committees.
