Department of World Languages & Cultures Temporary Faculty Pool
The Department of World Languages and Cultures (WLC) offers programs in French and Francophone Studies, German Studies, and Spanish. The richness and diversity of offerings permit our students to find multi-level academic opportunities under one single department. WLC provides a comprehensive, unifying theme around the study of international languages and cultures. Within this framework, the Department’s programs of languages and cultures make possible the acquisition of languages that permit a deeper interaction among national ethnic groups and international cultures.
The Department of World Languages and Cultures firmly believes that students with an international understanding of cultural, ethnic, and racial issues, coupled with second languages competency, will be better equipped to meet the professional challenges of the 21st century.

Salary: Dependent on qualifications and experience.
Experience: Successful teaching experience and academic or professional work related to French language and Francophone cultures.
Preferred: M.A./Ph.D. or equivalent; teaching experience at the university level; native or near-native French-speaker with recent experience living in a French-speaking country; ability to teach in French & English; demonstrated teaching excellence in French and Francophone African literatures and cultures and beginning and advanced French language courses.
Degree: B.A./B.S. or equivalent for Spanish courses.
Experience: Successful teaching experience and academic or professional work appropriate to teach specific courses.
Preferred: M.A./Ph.D. or equivalent; teaching experience at the university level; expertise in area of specialization appropriate to the course; evidence of teaching effectiveness; ability to teach in Spanish and English.
