Job summary

Hollywood Feed seeks a Workers' Compensation & Leave Specialist at its Memphis corporate office. You will interpret and administer workers' compensation and leave programs, ensure compliance with FMLA, ADA, and related laws, and guide employees through injury, leave, and accommodation processes.

You will manage case files from initial injury reporting to return-to-work, coordinate with HIPAA compliance, and work with HR partners on documentation, benefits coordination, and payroll during leaves.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 5+ years of Workers' Compensation, Leave Management or HR Generalist experience.
• Experience supporting hourly/nonexempt teams.
• Knowledge of US employment laws.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and accounting software.

Responsibilities

• Manage workers’ compensation cases from initial injury reporting through resolution, coordinating with employees, managers, claims administrators, medical providers, and other stakeholders to facilitate timely treatment and return-to-work.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for employees, managers, and HR partners throughout the full leave lifecycle, including intake, documentation, status updates, and accommodation needs.
• Maintain knowledge of FMLA, ADA, USERRA, and state-specific leave laws; ensure timelines, notice requirements and confidentiality guidelines are followed.
• Facilitate ADA interactive process for accommodations, coordinate documentation and determine appropriate accommodations.
• Coordinate with third-party administrators, disability carriers, and state agencies on leave and disability claims; track approvals/denials and ensure timely communication.
• Collaborate with Payroll and Benefits to ensure accurate pay and benefits during leaves, including STD, LTD, PTO utilization and premium payments.
• Draft and revise HR documentation related to time and attendance, performance issues, and terminations.
• Provide guidance to employees on questions and concerns.
